    Description

    This is an original regulation World War 1 rifle Marksman badge in excellent, unused condition.  It is mounted on the original maker's card, marked "REGULATION ARMY INSIGNIA, MECO Chicago."  This style badge was used by both the Army and US Marines during WWI.  After the war, the USMC continued with this design, but the Army changed to the current style of marksmanship pins.  The badge has about 85% of its silver plating. The pin attachment has a simple open hook.
